There's a little slice of heaven tucked away in Jalan Batai. That area itself may put off any casual browser since its the super expensive neighbourhood, coupled with Klimt's (Authentic Austrian Cuisine at RM 45 or more a dish )being round the back. With some recommendations by friends in the Cantus Musicus, I have discovered another of KL's rare G-spots (^-^) Not the Grafenberg spot, mind you; The Gourmet spot.
The setting is like any other pub & bistro: dark and albeit gloomy, while the air smells lightly of tobacco. But seriously, the food is to die for!
For a fish and chips and a Caesar's salad, I paid only RM37.95 and didn't have to take dinner. Those who know me, not taking dinner is no joke since I'm almost always hungry. The fish fillet was like larger than my palm and thicker, served with chips on the side. Caesar salad was huge: Lettuce topped with salami, croutons, grilled chicken bits, and Parmesan cheese. They do also have like a large range of soups, which are made fresh, selling from RM6~8. Alcoholic drinks are reasonably priced and adequately ranged.
Definitely one of those places to hit just before the exams (^-^)
Cheers, I'll be back!
On a lighter note:
Strange how we used to do that too... once upon a time...
